At the Center for Student Achievement, our mission is to support every college student on their journey to academic success—from the first year to senior year and beyond. Whether you're adjusting to college-level coursework, looking to sharpen your study strategies, or aiming to reach your full academic potential, we're here to help. Our programs, resources, and personalized support are designed to empower you at every stage of your college experience. No matter where you are in your academic journey, you don’t have to go it alone—we’re with you every step of the way.
Students who participate in CSA services (SI, Tutoring and Success Coaching) earn higher grades, persist at a higher rate and graduate at a higher rate than students who do not participate in CSA services.
My tutor helped me be more specific with my goals and increase my motivation to achieve more. I walk away from our meetings with a plan and confidence knowing I have someone who has my back when it comes to academic success.

Each program is designed to meet you where you are and support your growth throughout your college journey.
Peer Tutoring
Sometimes it’s helpful to learn from other students like you, who can share their study strategies and understand where you’re coming from. That’s where tutoring comes in. You can meet with a tutor either one-on-one or with other students to get help on just about any subject, from math and psychology to learning languages like Spanish and French.
Supplemental Instruction
Need extra help with classes? There are options for you to get the support you need on those subjects that are trickier to grasp – or just to practice your skills! Supplemental instruction offers a series of review courses throughout the semester to help you develop a better understanding of difficult subjects.
Success Coaching
What happens when someone believes in you? Your success coach is your partner and one of your biggest cheerleaders throughout your educational journey here at SU. Our success coaches meet with you one-on-one to get to know you on a personal level, discuss your academic journey and make a plan to achieve your goals.
Academic Workshops
Need help with time management? Note-taking and study strategies? Preparing for exams and managing test-taking anxiety? The CSA offers many workshops throughout the semester to help you develop study skills and give you the confidence to succeed.
